1a. Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your email address and authentication provider data (Google or Spotify profile information). We do not store passwords — authentication is handled by our third-party auth provider (Supabase Auth).
1b. Usage Data
We collect data about how you use the Platform, including:
- Videos you watch (watch history)
- Artists you follow
- Videos you add to your watchlist
- Search queries
- Pages visited and time spent
1c. Device Information
We automatically collect basic device and browser information (browser type, operating system, IP address) for security and analytics purposes.
1d. Artist Submission Data
Artists who submit their channels provide their name, email, YouTube channel URL, and optional message. This information is used solely for processing submissions.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Provide and improve the Platform experience
- Personalize content recommendations (e.g., Continue Watching, Spotify-based suggestions)
- Send notifications about artists you follow
- Process artist submissions
- Communicate service updates and changes
- Prevent fraud and abuse
- Generate aggregated, anonymized analytics to improve curation
3. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services that may collect data:
- YouTube / Google:Video playback via YouTube embeds is subject to Google’s Privacy Policy. YouTube may set cookies and collect usage data when you watch videos.
- Supabase: Our database and authentication provider. Data is stored securely on Supabase infrastructure.
- Vercel: Our hosting provider. Vercel may collect basic request logs.
- Spotify: If you authenticate with Spotify, we access your top artists (read-only) to personalize recommendations. We do not modify your Spotify account.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We may share data in the following limited circumstances:
- With service providers who help operate the Platform (hosting, analytics)
- To comply with legal obligations or law enforcement requests
- To protect the rights, safety, or property of Cinderblock TV Inc. or its users
- In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (with notice to users)
5. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Watch history and usage data are retained to provide personalized features. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.
6. Cookies
We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. YouTube embeds may set their own cookies. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies.
7. Children’s Privacy
The Platform is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Export your data in a portable format
- Opt out of non-essential communications
