Sam Smith – The Making Of “Love Me More” | Vevo Footnotes

“Feeling like the mirror isn’t good for your health” – what great line to describe a bout with self-doubt, right? Sam Smith nailed that feel in “Love Me More.” It’s such a personal song, the singer wanted to have a hand in shaping of the video, so he co-directed with his pal Luke Monaghan. Shutting down a London street for that opening scene, shooting the dance club action at the Royal Vauxhall Tavern on Fentiman Road – Smith wanted to support queer spaces that give a safe homes to LGBTQ+ community, as well as show fans a bit of his London roots. He explained it all to our Footnotes crew. Jump in and you’ll find out what he thought of his lace top, too.
