It’s time to get out of your comfortable chair and put on your trainers, because Oliver Heldens has finally dropped his newest single ‘Run’! Shifting towards a garage house direction, the Dutch powerhouse has covered his new song with a progressive trance flavour and his signature musical flair. ‘Run’ contains all the ingredients to keep the momentum high, whether it’s on the dancefloor or during an intense workout. With his newest release, Oliver shows that he’s not slowing down: he’s going full speed ahead.
Oliver's Quote: “Last year towards the end of summer I had been hearing PinkPantheress’ hit ‘Illegal’ many times and I loved how they used that Underworld ‘Dark and Long’ synth sample. Inspired by that synth I wanted to do something similar, but a bit more melodic and melancholic, and that’s how the idea for ‘Run’ originated. While developing the idea into a fresh ‘Trance meets Deep House’ groover, I was quite inspired by the likes of KETTAMA and Chris Stussy. Chris really liked the track and he actually helped me out with some useful feedback. After trying many different vocals on the track, there was this ‘Run’ vocal sample that turned out to be a match made in heaven. It’s simple and catchy, but it holds a lot of emotion and it just goes along so nicely with the melancholic trancy chord synths and the funky deep house bassline. I love this track and it’s been great to see all the positive reactions from fans already. Enjoy!”
